Dostępne dowody naukowe nie wskazują na zagrożenie pomiędzy spożywaniem umiarkowanej ilości kofeiny (200-300 mg dziennie) a płodnością kobiet i przebiegiem ciąży tj. poronieniem, porodem przedwczesnym, masą ciała noworodka, skalą Apgar, czy wadami rozwojowymi płodu.
